A little about me
Hi there, I’m Darrel. My main career interests lie in cloud technology and automation. However, I am also open to learning IT skills from other sectors. I’m curious about the healthcare and psychology sectors and open to exploring opportunities in those fields. Outside of work, I spend my free time with friends and family, playing games, and trying new activities. My goal is to become a project manager in the future or mentor the next generation, as I enjoy helping and teaching others.
After completing my National Service, I will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at Singapore Management University, building on my Diploma in Information Technology from Republic Polytechnic.

Completed my Diploma in Information Technology with Merit, where I built a foundation in software development, Cisco networking, and cloud technology.
DBS Asia Hub — Junior Application Developer
Worked with two other interns to integrate a scanner feature into a web application built with Angular and Spring Boot.
I was responsible for configuring the scanner, connecting it to the frontend controls, and ensuring payloads reached the backend correctly.
2024
NCS / IRAS — DevOps Engineer
Joined the IRIN3 project as a DevSecOps Engineer, supporting CI/CD pipelines, Azure services, AKS operations, and application-team queries.
The role strengthened my interest in cloud technology, automation, and how engineering teams deliver software in real working environments.
2022
Enrolled into Republic Polytechnic
Enrolled in Republic Polytechnic, pursuing a Diploma in Information Technology.
Graduated from St. Patrick's Secondary School
Graduated from St. Patrick’s Secondary School after completing my O Level examinations.
2021
Infocomm Club CCA Vice-Chairman
Stepped up as an EXCO member, taking on the role of Vice Chairman. Assisted in setting up and managing the school’s AV control room, including projectors and microphones, monitoring sound levels and audio channels, and managing stage lighting. Also supported the backstage crew with event setups and helped nurture and guide my juniors.
